how to remove antenna?

Im looking to replace my 2003 z4 antenna but I dont know how to remove it. Does anybody here know how it comes apart?
 
The ariel just unscrews, the module that holds the base is held in with a single torx head screw and is accessible from inside the boot on the cars LHS.
 
Get someone to stand outside the car and tightly grip the Arial and then put the car steering wheel on full lock (right hand down), now pull off in a gentle controlled manner (this might mean a seperate mod to the CDV) and drive in a circular direction untill your Arial has been totally unsrewed and is in the hand of your helper. This is how i did mine.......

Being that age it might be a pita to get off.

I sheared the bolt that goes into the base when i did mine and mashed the old whipped aerial.

10gbp to replace the base.

Try some wd40 on it.
 
Yes, I gave up on mine. Just buy a new base and fit it. Not too hard, and you can polish the panel whilst it's off!
After I removed mine from the car, I still can't get them apart. They are properly seized!
 
Pliers right at the bottom of the antenna, just above the base. Left turn and hope for the best.
No way mine was coming off without this and I was in danger of damaging it, came off a treat with the pliers and as the unit is rubberised it didn't leave any makes either.
