Just bought a 2006 Z4. One minor problem is that the rectangular storage compartment behind the seats and between driver and passenger has lost its opening device which by the gap seems to sit above the compartment. There isnt much storage so would like to get it open. Any suggestions of how to open or get "handle" to open. Thank you.

You should be able to slide something thin, like a metal rule, into the gap to push the latch open.Mikiefitz said:
Or look in the boot and on the bulkhead you'll see a black round handle. Pull it out and you'll see it is attached to a piece of string, pulling that should unlock the door too.
