I am really really not a fan of HDR images, they can so easily look over enhanced and unnatural (generally)
the example above is how TO DO it though, this is really nice and makes a basic image look stunning
Stuck in customs is another good source of HDR info. There are downloadable sample bracketed exposure pics for people to experiment on. Also another tutorial although as Tom posted one already, perhaps not needed.
Breaker, I really like some of your shots, I'm no fan of overdone HDR but in the right context it makes an OK shot really stand out. Your Dragster pic is one where the context makes it jump out, it's a valid art effect and not trying to deceive that it's as captured in the camera. The Jeans shot is one where the effect has transformed what would otherwise be a mundane pic into something really good
Thanks. That jeans shot wasn't set up. I just noticed the way they were lay on the bathroom floor where I left them when taking a shower! My wife thought I'd gone mad when I got the camera and took some shots of them!
I desaturated the pic quite a lot (the jeans are actually blue and the floor is a terracotta colour ) then processed one as B/W then used a layer to pull through some colour in PS.
