How to keep cat OFF the car?

Cant you just keep the cat in your house?
It looks too nice a cat to be out anyway, it is a ragdoll isnt it?

Just leave one or two of these in the vicinity of the car:

We don't have a cat problem on our property!

Another favourite is wire the car up to the mains, thus ensuring nothing gets close to the roof. As soon as the bodywork is touched.....kaboom. Works every time

Surely having a cat on your roof would double the value of your old knacker!? :P

What's my wife got to do with it and how did you know I refer to her as an old knacker? Very, very rude

The Jasper Carrott Mole sketch may give you a few ideas!!!!

Worth considering perhaps

Have you thought of getting it stuffed after it's long life?

Nictrix, I was thinking of keeping Fiona indoor but she enjoys being outside chasing cats and dog :) She doesn't have a pedigree but is 100% copy of Birman cat.
I would think dog wouldn't solve the problem. My friend sent a dog over to the cat around the car. You know what happened? They BOTH end up on the car chasing all over the hood and roof :o Cats over here are strange... Cat's love to ride :D

errrr can we not go there please folks ! seem to remember a similar post here that led to the biggest fall outs ever on this forum ! cat lovers against non cat lovers , loads of threats of physical violence etc etc.....!!!! maybe a friendly chat about the election debates this evening would be less inflamatory

The Minced Cat post was obviously joking.

As for the debate.....

Perhaps they should be minced!

It's rather late to tell me the minced cat was a joke. I found it an interesting alternative to minced beef. Burp....... :D

Lets see how it goes sending this dog. Wendy.jpg

that video is funny....

have you tried one of those ultrasonic things. if you could get one that was on a sensor and just went off when it was near the car but not at other times it might work.

Do none of you have cats that piss on EVERYTHING that is new or has a new smell?
All these posts to "spray it with this or that" and all i can think about is how excited our cats would be to repiss all over it.

Male cats tend to do that, yes. Marking their territory. No respect from cats these days. Wonder how would they react if I would take a dump in their convertible s**t-box.

I'd try anything that smells strong sprayed on the ground around the car. Lemon juice, ground pepper maybe. It probably won't take long to break the habit.

It may be where the car is parked more than the car. Do you always park the cars in the same parking spots? If so, try swapping them over. Maybe Tiddles loves the sun that the Zed gets in the morning, whereas the Jazz is in the shade with a cold metal roof?

neutering male cats tends to stop the spraying

I would think cat prefers BMW over Honda :D Probably because Z is easier to get on. I'm trying lemon juice :)

I know this is cruel and we've seen it before, but still makes me laugh. (No animal or person was injured in this video, I think)
