How to improve on perfection?

Hi guys, I have a beautiful 53 plate 3.0ltr in Stirling grey that I adore however I have a little check list that I'm hoping to accomplish which I need some help with if possible?

- I'm after a set of angel eyes with the indicators that are NOT orange glass - can anyone recommend a supplier?
- I'd like to somehow connect up my iPhone for tunes.... Is there a lead that plus in the back? Supplier recommendations?
- I do like the bumper of the 07 plate onwards, how easy is it to exchange bumpers?

Niggles:
- She has the handbrake issue but I'm fine living with that
- At the moment I can't do the drivers window all the way up - any idea why? Is it motor related?
- I have a slight clanging metal noise at very slow crawling speed when I engage the clutch - again I can live with it if it's a mare to fix

Thanks very much

Georgina

How much do you want to spend on lights? Do you have halogens or xenons and do you want oem or aftermarket. There is no easy oem solution with fitting angel eyes.. The facelift xenons have them, but are not a direct swap. If you have halogens the easiest way is go aftermarket.

Do you have a satnav screen? If so look for the intravee for the ipod connectivity.

Facelift bumper is a direct swap... But you'll need new fogs too, and the number plate plinth is different

The handbrake should be easy to adjust... If its just that... Any decent mechanic can sort that.

The windows sounds strange... I would try a window reset first (if you search here for that)

The metal clanking with the clutch... Is that on every depress, does it sound like its from inside or out?

What handbrake problem are you talking about? Mine has quite a lot of travel on it so wondered if that's what you meant?

Also I need to find out about iPhone as well. I know where to get a lead from as my partners done it in his car but his dash is flat whereas the Zeds is curved so I'm not sure where to get the lead to come out for the phone and where the phone can be placed??

any ideas :)

:D

Simplest solution for connecting to the stereo is using an aux cable. You can make your own, or purchase one. The aux port can come out in the plate just above the ashtray, under the stereo (it pops out easily).. Search on here for the aux port threads.

If you want a more integrated solution, as aquazi mentions above, Intravee is the way to go. To connect the iPhone up, many on here use a Brodit mount, some of us use a specdock ashtray insert. Your money, your choice.

For lights, cheapest solution is to split your own. It will be difficult to get a set of clear "boomerangs" (proverbial hen's teeth) but there are threads on here that detail the process, plus a couple of innovative ways around sourcing a set of clears (tinting, and light diffusers). Look for CJ10jeeper's excellent thread on the headlight splitting and start from there.

Regarding your handbrake issue, not sure what the issue you are referring to? Can you elaborate ?

Ok great thanks guys!
So the angel eyes are not as straight forward as hoped but I'm still determined to get a pair so I'll keep reading.

There is a post in the problems forum about the ha brake issue. Basically I got mine tightened by BMW but a week later it still went to being crap. Really have to pull it up to stop rolling on a steep hill and sometimes it feels like it's popping out on the ratchet.
