How to get wires into glovebox??

I'm in the middle of installing a Dension Gateway Pro. I finally have it connected after much swearing, a nick in the surround and a broken aerial connector :headbang:

However I can't figure out how to route the wires down into the glovebox. Can anyone help?

There is a gap at the back right as you look into the glove box. That's where I routed my Dension wires.

Take the box off (just hinges down) and you see a hole where you can feed the wire through straight from behind the centre console. I used that in my first Z to put the Dension in .

I put a little rubber grommit in to protect the cable :

That is how it looked:

Why not then mount your ipod cable as per my thread.

Well that was a bugger of a job, in the end I got the missus to have a go as she has smaller fingers, and she managed it!

So all rigged up and working! Plays music via Bluetooth from my iPhone and calls/phone book works well too. All on the basic Business head unit.

@Russ59 - that looks really neat. I don't necessarily need the connection as I'm using Bluetooth, but it would be great to have a smart solution for charging the phone.

Right now that's done - does anyone have any tips on setting up the microphone? I'd rather not have the wire trailing around after all the effort of hiding away the Dension.

The standard one is on top of the steering wheel, where do you want yours? In the A-pillar perhaps (top or bottom, either way will hide the wires).

Yeah the A-pillar would be good. What's the best way to route the mic cable to there from the glovebox (where the Dension is)?
