How to get out of trouble?

My experience of Tyreweld is:

1 The remaining pressure in the punctured tyre needs to be low enough to allow the Tyreweld to enter.
2 You need to follow the instructions about speed & distance after using it. (The first time I did, I went straight to Kwik Fit without allowing the gunk to spread & set and, when they took the tyre off, it shot everywhere. Oops.)

The other Z punctures I've had were beyond Tyreweld, needed a new tyre and I wished I'd had a spare.

same goes for a blowout, still can happen on a run-flat, like this https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1398649
i like the extra boot space, but a space saver would be great

its worth mentioning that any gloop or tyreweld that is put in the tyre will send the balance of the tyre to hell and back like water in a barrel slopping around (which it effectively is). I had this proved to me at a tyre place when he put it on the balancing machine prior to repairing it.
i know nobody will be being silly after a roadside repair, so just worth knowing and appreciating if you get a bit of wheel wobble :driving: :o

I'm about to order my new wheels (non RFs);

I have TPMS valves, so don't want to risk the 'gloop' damaging them; so am looking at the "tails" option with 3 small CO2 Capsules.

Be interesting to see what it links too in a few years time, perhaps a nice bacon butty.
