How to disable the alarm permanently?

My alarm went off again last night at 2.30am. My neighbours must love me!

I had previously disconnected the bonnet switch and I thought that was going to cure it, but clearly not. So I've decided I don't want any more false alarms and would prefer to permanently disable the alarm. What's the best way? Can it be unplugged or disabled in software (I have the Bcables.com software suite - although still struggling how to use it all)?

I've seen on here that you can remove a fuse, but that is shared with the central locking and I don't want to loose that.

Lock the car using the key in the drivers door. Disables alarm but locks the car.

Or press the lock key 2 times to disable the interior sensor.

I have alarm issues too and noticed sometimes the car struggles to start (it starts but sometimes it sounds not as clean as it should).

It's the crap battery someone installed in the boot. Looking to buy a premium bosch with more power soon.

Would be a good test to lock without sensor to see it's that.

Sonny - have a look at Varta, they're made in the same place and I've been very happy with mine, picked up cheap online.

You maybe able to also switch it off with coding BUT you will need to advise your insurance. You will have confirmed that you have an alarm and immobilisers fitted and of you disable the alarm they may wish to increase your premium

My battery isn't great. It starts the car fine, but the diagnostics software gives a warning that its only at 12V.
But last night when the alarm went off, I had my battery maintainer connected up and this is keeping the battery fully charged. Maybe I'm flogging a dead horse with the battery, but it seems to be working just fine and with the battery maintainer on all the time, it keeps it charged. So I wasn't going to spend around £70-80 on a battery just yet until I noticed some deterioration in the battery myself. The Z4 is just a weekend car.
I'll do the double press on the key, but with a few alarm activations now disturbing the peace, the alarm is just a hindrance I'd rather not have and for peace of mind, I'd rather just disable it.
