how to decide

ok, the more i read the forum and look on ebay/autotrader the more undecided i get, im pretty set on a 3.0l but i wouldnt rule out a 2.5 facelift, prefer a manual i guess but i wouldn't rule out an auto, my main problem is there's nothing remotely local except an unloved 2.5 manual at a ridiculous price, budget is 7k but i could strech to 7200, i dont mind an older cheaper model i could throw a few quid at modding i love the look of the si sport but am concerned i may not get on with the harder suspension, the one listed i like has got brand new run flats fitted which means ill probably have to throw at least 600 at new tyres would appreciate owners opinions of this, you can read mag reviews all you like but the opinion of people who live with them day to day is more valuable to me, ive listed below the cars ive considered, opinions of which you would choose and why would be awesome.. cheers

thanks again for taking the time to look and any opinions offered, also if anyone knows of anything that would suit me just holla, cheers

All of those look overpriced (IMO) are you set on a "low mileage" car?

When buying a sports car you will usually have to travel & be patient to get a good one at the right price.

Edit

If I had your budget I'd be after the black 3.0 at £6k in the for sale section. It looks a stunning example from the advert.

If that's you postcode and they are 40 miles away then that's no distance. These cars are thin on the ground you will have to travel I'm afraid.

All look good- the last 2.5 has a nice interior but is dear! Have a look at the for sale section here, travelling to get a good car is worth it.

ok... i have no issue travelling to look at cars, however i live i the sticks of north wales 40 miles as the crow flies is usually a good hike, ie Manchester is around 40 miles in a straight line, but it takes me an hour and 20 minutes, hence i dont really want to get into seeing a dozen cars dotted all over the country, rather narrow it down to 2 or 3, see the best ones 1st and hopefully buy one of them, also ive done the drive 120 miles to see a car described as "amazing condition" or "you wont find one as good as this" to get back in the car after 5 minutes of looking over a shitter, id really rather not go there again, my ideal car would be a known car from the forum that i could go see with confidence regardless of the distance, the 3.0 si sport looks like it ticks all the right boxes (with the exception of the run flats) but i worry about the reviews of the overly harsh ride.. cheers

its caught my eye too, actually going to enquire about that, mileage slightly higher than i would like but certainly not a deal breaker, have a deposit on my other car, he is hopefully collecting today then i should be good to go
