How to check vehicle specification?

Hello all,

I am in the market for another Z4 after having sold my last one some 4 years ago now. Does anybody know of a way to check the vehicles "as-built" specification using only the vehicle reg? Would also be interested in any other tools which are useful for buying!

Hi, it's not the reg you need but the cars vin number-few sites online & after entering the last 7 vin digits they give you the car's spec from new :thumbsup:

Thanks for the responses so far. It was the BMW website method I was after, I've looked and couldn't see anywhere on the site I could do it. It'll save me asking for the VIN lol :P
 
I went to dealer, gave them the chassis number and they printed out the original spec from the factory even though it's 13 years old, George. :rofl:
