How to access the connectors to the fusebox?

I am looking into doing some wiring mods and want to be able to access the connectors to the fusebox. There appear to be some connectors to the RHS of the fuses, just about visible behind a plastic plate to which the glovebox lid is attached.

Does anyone know if this plastic plate can be removed without having to take out the entire facia?

Have you removed the glovebox? its held on by a dampener (held in by two clips), two tabs (in the top of the mount) and six screws, instructions to remove here. if so, any photos of the plastic plate you're referring to?
