...get the screws back in to hold the carpet down in the boot?!

Just installed the DICE, but now I cant get the screws to go back in place :(

I assume there the black plastic ones with the plastic disk type nut that hold the bulkhead carpet in place, 2 each side? Just use abit of force and pull the carpet forward, and get your hand behind to hold it. It is possible as ive just done it after installed a sub/amp.

Just thort, i guess you could glue the disk/nut to the carpet ?!?!

I went with a dab of contact adhesive to hold the nut in place on the rear of the carpet and then just screwed the bolt part in from the front as normal. Sounds lke the same line of thinking as un1eash

The carpet held the nut long enough for me to get a finger behind it and attach the screw. It took a couple of tries but eventually I won. I think that I worked from top to bottom reattaching everything but I really don't remember.

Lol, they really are a PITA :D especially if you drop one.As said sticking them in place is the best option.

I think that you will find that the screws are designed with a one way taper which allows the screws to be simply pushed in to the plastic nut (i.e.; you do not have to twist them together). At least that's ow they were on my '06. Trying to twist them together would be a real PITA!

Not so on my 2003. Very certainly a threaded bolt and a flat combined nut and washer. Perhapss they improved the design
