How sad can you get?

I don't think there's anything wrong with going to cinema alone, after all you hardly get to chat to who you're with anyway. I went once alone at uni to an Arts cinema to watch some random Spanish film which was rubbish. I would do it again if I really wanted to watch something but I don't often go. Having said that I want to go watch Star Trek so no one give anything away on here please.

As I work shifts, 4 on 4 off, I used to go to lunchtime midweek Cinema when family/friends were at work.
No kids in there as they were all at school.
Used to pay £1.99 for an early bird ticket so it was a win/ win for me.

Around thirty years ago I went to the Cinema on a first date. I remember the lights going dim and the adverts starting. Next thing I know an usher is shaking me "wake up, wake up, time to go home" . It was around 1:00am, I had slept through the whole film twice and no sign of my date

I prefer going on my own, as it suit my schedule perfectly.
Most of the time I try to go in the middle of a weekday and I'm unlucky if there's more than 2 other people in there. I only recently cancelled my Cineworld pass because they cut down all the early (between 10am and 3pm) sessions, which meant I had to ride the great tide of unwashed plebs at the 3:30pm or later sessions who throw popcorn around and talk on their mobiles through the film.
However, I've now learnt that the correct response to being peppered by popcorn from the juveniles in front, is to retaliate by throwing the remainder of my nachos/chillies/cheese :evil:
