How`s this for a rise in insurance?

Just had a BMW insurance renewel through at £675 so I went through my credit card records to find out that I only paid £530 last year although I thought it was lower than that. Last year I negotiated them down from a higher figure but it was nowhere near 600 before negotiations let alone £675. It`ll be interesting to see what I can get them down to this time. I`ve obtained one quote elsewhere (Egg Insurance)and that came to £606.

my renewal came in over £1000 from BMW, had gone up £200 from last year. Had a quote from swift cover for £560, can't see them trying to match this but its worth a try.

Make sure they are like for like quotes though. ie: extenr of cover,excess, ununsured losses etc

Mine jumped over £200 with BMW i know i picked up 3 points last year but got some better quotes on line and they dropped it by around £100 straight away but not enough ended up paying less than last year with Chris Knott.
