I shop in Waitrose in kenilworth, it's great, the staff are some of the best in any shop I have used, what makes me laugh is how dolled up some of the people are when shopping, they look like they have dressed for a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
I had a shop for while and whenever someone tried to pay for something whilst on the phone, I just didn't pack it until they had finished the call, after looking at me not doing anything for 30 seconds they soon hung up.
The odd thing in Kenilworth is that the kids are very polite, it's the old people who are rude, when ever I hold the door open for an older person they just walk through without a word of thank you, but almost every teen has said thank you.
Lol I'm a regular in Waitrose Cheltenham - some of the customers in there seem to expect staff to get their shopping for them
On the up side, usually plenty of expensive cars to park safely next to in there
Mobile phones do seem to have negatives... I personally find it amazing how people prioritise their phones over what or who is infront of them. Met up for a coffee with a friend I hadn't seen for a while the other day, their phone rings so they pick it up and have a chat with some other friend... Yeh I made the effort to come and see you but that's fine, you carry on and I'll just sit here and wait... (or play on my phone to look busy!)
