CARWASH!!!!!!! Apparently you forgot the person we hung by his thumbs at Z4um :telloff: You really need to get back on your medication,
oh sin of sins :guns:

I just washed mine last week and that was the second time since December '06.......I know, I know, I've been scolded about this on other forums but I persist in using gallons of detail spray and the car looks fabulous. OK, maybe the paint will fall off in three years but by then I'll be drivin' a new Z4 or maybe 135i and it'll be someone else's trouble. Go on call me a sociopath........

Damn... that's as bad as spraying Febreeze all over yourself every few days so that you don't have to take a bath/shower for a year.

You're lucky your dog still loves you...

DUDE

You can just pay other people to wash it for you at least! Like 15 bucks!

And next you're going to say you have a Black Car too?

 Hey Rick, I hadn't considered the Febreeze thing before......hmmmmm.

Actually that reminds me of a very eccentric chap I worked with once who was a cigar nut; every afternoon he'd smoke one out on the loading dock and then.....yep, he'd spray himself with Febreeze.

Gauss,

To tell ya the truth I can't tell what color it is anymore. It might be worth 15 bucks to have it washed so I can see if there is any paint left......or I could just check the color listed on the original invoice. :driving:

It might be cool to not have any paint left on the Zed... it would look like the concept Zed they displayed in Frankfurt in '05... Terminator-metal colour. 8)

That's me, just a trendsetter. Pretty soon not even 20Ducks will wash his car.

The bare metal look will be in although I'd personally prefer a light bead blast.....kind of like a stainless Kimber 1911.

You may want to reconsider the bare metal look.

I just spent the day today at the Portland Historic Car Races and saw a couple of 50's and 60's period race cars that were bare metal aluminum with a polish job. At least one of the pits had someone using some metal polish to spruce up the finish on a late 50's lotus and it looked to me like a LOT more work than what I have to do to keep my painted surfaces looking nice.

Nice taste in hardware.

I wouldn't want to do the bare metal anywhere near the ocean. it was always a chore keeping the aluminum oxidization free on my motorcycles.

As an art piece I like the idea of a fully rusted Z4 mounted at a 30 degree angle on a granite pedestal in a Bavarian beer garden..........well, maybe not.
