How often do you use your "Sport" button?

The steering change has no affect on the M though.

Because the M has proper steering :-)

I didn't see this was in the M part of the forum, Tapatalk is a bit rubbish in that respect.
 
Just now and again, but I'd think that's kinda the idea, after all if you use it all the time I'd imagine your driving style adjusts and therefore it doesn't feel more sporty/ reactive.
 
never use it - it adjusts throttle response and nothing else, the car is no faster. It just means your foot has to learn two types of pedal 'feel'
 
In my 3.0i I used mine all the time. Was part of the car startup ritual for me. Nowadays I never use it, as there's no steering benefit, and the throttle doesn't need to be any more aggressive IMO
 
Similar to OG, once warmed up and on open roads on it goes. A couple of people reported better fuel economy (sounds odd and I've not measured it) and despite PVR's comments about steering, I seem to remember someone reported it made an issue they had with the steering come and go.

I've used it but never really noticed any difference. Sometimes I think that "sport" is dutch for "turn on yellow light".
 
I gather it's pretty much pointless on the M. Still never bothered to press it, the standard throtle map is just fine :D :driving:

When I first got the car, I thought a less aggressive throttle mapping would have been good. I'm used to it now :D

Never knew that - nor seen it written anywhere else before. The documentation I have only mentions throttle and I am not sure how you can change hydraulic steering feedback as it is not electric.
 
I'd rather it just turned off traction control to save me having to lean over to the passenger side of the console to press the traction button.

It's a gimmick, doubles throttle input and that's it... Never use it, I just press the accelerator further.
