Varies, depends ony mood, sometimes i think about keeping the miles off it, sometimes just get the urge . Bedn in the canaries last wedk so been really looking foreward to a blast but got back 4am this morning and had pianos for poole and london so even more desperate for a blast now. Just had inspection two as well so raring to go.

It's my daily commuter, plus weekend runaround if i haven't got the kids.

60 miles a day, every day, for 3 and a half years; rain/sleet/snow (they aren't bad in the snow actually)...... that's about £12,000 of super unleaded!

im actually going to sorn the car which ive never done..... i may as well get the tax money back as it wont roll for a while... Other option was to sell the car which isnt an option at all

Mainly at the weekends as I can walk to work, at this rate I wish I had a 10-15 mile commute to run it daily, on second thoughts with the commuter mayhem scrub that!! :)

With the kids this young, sadly I get to go for a blat a couple of times a month. Can't wait when Jackson is a little older so he can hand me some spanners.
:tumbleweed:

The M is my daily driver but I work from home so it doesn't get used as much as I would like, only filled up once last month. And I've not been on a forum drive at all this year :(

Every other day as i alternate between it and my evoque, unless the wife has a specific need then I'm superseded. My work run is 15 miles each way, either dual carriage way or twistys depending on mood or need. Weekend runs are usually in the zed, but anything overnight I reach for the rangey key.

looks like lots of people putting it away for the winter? I was hoping to keep using mine :( i like it so much!

I never understand this sentiment :idunno: Its a modern car so why not use it? Apart from snow (other idiot drivers to be avoided) mine gets used whenever I need to drive anywhere. Its hardly a £20 mln Ferrari or a Caterham, its a BMW Z4.

I drive the car at least twice a week...was more till a certain M joined the fold. Plus company car and X5 on driveway too.

They're actually pretty good in the snow - i made it home in mine on summer tyres in a blizzard with a couple of inches of snow on my road (which is on top of a hill). Lots of other people got stuck.

I'm putting it down to the LSD giving proper 2-wheel-drive (non LSD equipped cars end up being 1-wheel-drive as the open diff sends all the torque to the spinning wheel

Yes I've found that pilchard. Much better than my old E85 was in the snow. Nevertheless when the white stuff descends the M stays at home and the Honda Civic comes out. It's not my car I'm worried about, it's all the other idiots out there!

I use mine all year round, and keep thinking of splashing out on a set of winter wheels & tyres, but keep putting it off as I've never been stuck.

The advantage is that if we get a well-above-freezing winter's day, I can go out and hoon as hard as I like. If I had the winters on I'd probably not bother as the car would not perform as well.

I also carry a set of sno-socks that I bought in December 2009 - just after I bought the car - but they're still sat, unused, in the boot.

Yep never had any problems with the snow. Mine will keep getting used.

If it gets really bad then I wont use it and use the mini instead but I don't see the point in sorning cars over winter it gets bad but its not that bad. People just panic and dont think straight, but around where I am if you cant deal with the weather you cant do anything so you learn quick.

For me it's not about not being able to deal with the weather, but more of a choice as to when I want to drive.

I only use the ///M as a toy, I drive it when I want to have a good drive. Driving in the rain/ traffic in my opinion isn't fun. Anyway, as the winter tends to be a lot wetter, colder, icier etc. I won't be using the ///M as much. If temps rise to above 5degC, and the roads are dry I'll give it a drive. I won't be SORN'ing it, but then again I don't expect to drive it anywhere near as much as I am now during the winter months.

I voted 'A few days of the month', but it really depends on the weather! Generally if it's a nice day, I don't need to carry much, and I'm unlikely to spend much time crawling through traffic, I'll take the M. When any of these conditions aren't met, I'll take my jag instead.
