How often do you start your 3.0si in winter?

Mines put in my unheated garage at the start of December and it comes out again at the start of March . It's connected to a maintenance battery charger and covered if two king sized cotton sheets to keep the dust off it and the tyres are blown up an extra few psi. The handbrake is left off ant the tank is filled.

The car is never started when it's in storage. There's a huge amount of water produced and I dont fancy that lying in the exhaust system.

I park mine on the drive (it won't fit in the garage  ), but I've got an external plug socket box, and use this to connect a maintenance charger (£25 from Halfords). Started and ran it today for the first time since December (took it for a back box delete)- no rattles, no damp

I'm not really using mine as its just ticked over 90K.

My 3.0i is just coming up to 120k and its used every day, all cars are far better used regularly. leaving them in the garage for months does them no good at all!

Im not that worried about the milage, taking it on a Europe trip which is up to 3.5K so fair in July :driving: and I'm using it at the weekends to get my fix :D

Weĺl im glad i asked  so theres no need to start it on a regular basis. I do try and drive it as often as possible but sometimes its just not possible but cheers for advice

Mine is in a block of garages with no electric but we take it out every other weekend for a good run. Nothing seems at odds on the car. We thought of starting it up and letting it run until warm but can not resist a spin for an hour or so. And just as well reading some of the comments.

Mine used to be driven weekly even in winter even though it was a 2/ 3 car... i think the longest mine ever went in 5 years without being driven was 3 weeks when i was on my Honeymoon :D
