How often do you get yours down?

I think that's a great excuse for doing something you shouldn't need an excuse to do :D

Seriously though, if a BMW roof seized up because you didn't open it for a couple of months I'd be mortified :o

Just wondering now its winter should I open the roof now and again to make sure it doesn't seize up :driving:

Really, I mean really, you should put the roof down because it's a crisp sunny day in winter and you have heated seats.......you don't put the roof down because it needs the exercise......honestly :poke:

I had it down this evening on the way to Helensburgh to get two new rear tyres :driving:
That's another story I'll be putting on appropriate thread. (think 296s) :headbang:

Winter is the least of your worries mate. Make sure you don't get married, you may as well weld it shut :x

:) oh so true although Mrs Roofless did agree to the roof coming down this morning and yes she was in the passenger seat at the time and it was a glorious drive  :driving:

There is a hat kept in passenger side for Mrs Sham as she knows if I'm driving then roof goes down :D

ive been used to the old model since 2003 and in November the hard top goes on and thats it until March.

I have had this one since november so have not really had the chance to drive with it down.

I will have a go this week at dropping the top im full of cold at the moment so what the heck.

No heated seats, the center blower is a major benfit over the old model, and so is the ability to select the front face vents to be hot air. the car heats up within a few mins much faster than the old model so heated seats are nice but not as essential as in the old models if you had them.
