Sweet I like mountain biking I love the alps. Been biking out in les gets amazing. If you want a buddy I am happy to come stay at yours.

I first tried it in L2A...Biking above the tree line is very odd. There were some REALLY hardcore types cycling UP the hill!!

It's great fun in Italy...everyone looks superb, all the team kit, does an hour or so, then spend lots of time drinking coffee and relaxing!

Wishing I could afford the time for one last ski at Easter...sadly I can't have everything, all the time...most unfair! :D

Machine Monkey, I'm just up the road in B'ham happy to catch up for a ride some time! Maybe we should have a Z4 ride out at Cannock or Forest of Dean. Could be amusing.

I'm heading out to La Plagne this summer for a week on the bike, need to alter my training a little so I can climb better, mission is to make it from apartment at 2100m to Glacier at 3350 then to bottom of valley (700m) and back up to apartment in one day.... Nearly made it last year, ran out of energy/will at Plagne 1800 and went for a beer.

Back on topic, yesterday I played 4 hrs of hockey in goal and forgot how hard it is on your core....oh my god I ache today!

1 hour 6 days a week.

Being fit/healthy is the age-old iceberg analogy - exercise really is only a small portion. Nutrition is at least 75%.

Ye I've seen this massive uptake of crossfit will have to look into it! Looks cool! Seems a good community

Yeh Tom great community spirit there and its a spot on box (that's a CrossFit gym to anyone not in the know!!).... Jonny who owns it is a top lad  I am over in the lakes for the week next week so I will be there a couple of nights :)

CrossFit gets my vote for cardio and strength training. I train at a box 3 to 4 times a week.

For any newbies going to give it a go, just leave any preconceptions of what you can lift at the door. You'll find that most of the girls there will out-lift you in the short term!

I do between 75 and 100 miles a week on my cycles and it's not a chore as I love it,and feel great every time I get back. There is no feeling like it

Out twice a week on mountain bike and do 50 miles, and started to try and get out on road bike once a week again now and do around 30 miles on that.

I walk to the car - that's exercise, isn't it?

I can feel you... working 9 - 9 most days I just wanna get in my zed, turn on the heating seats and drive home to eat...

4-6 days/week at the gym - 75 mins weightlifting/bodybuilding.
1 or 2 MTB rides of ~20-30 miles per week.
1 or 2 sessions on the Concept2 erg at about 2-3k.
Low carbs on non/lighter lifting days, more carbs on heavy lifting days.
Due to elbow injury & steroid injection in shoulder, I'm in the middle of a two week layoff from lifting, and it's bloody horrendous :o(
Oh, and does mucking out & stables duties 1st thing in the morning & the occasional horse ride count too ... ?

I like to walk, am out everyday if I can and Sundays try and get 14 to 16 miles in. I've bought an UP24 in January 2015 and replaced it with an UP3 this January. Got a notification last week to say that I had made 6 million steps or 3,000 miles in the last 400 days making me in the top 0.01% of users

Any other UPsters on here?

I swim 9 times a week (2 hours sets) and run on the weekend with the wife. Always end up doing something like a run or tab in work too.

I swim once or twice a week plus I play badminton regularly - singles and doubles. I used to play competitively but now just for fun - although its still bloody competitive
As for diet - I eat what Mrs Marlon cooks, which means I eat very healthily. She's a veggie (although she does cook fish for us) and prepares everything from scratch: curries, pasta, lasagne. On the rare occasions that we eat out I can binge on whatever I like without getting fat
