Just watched the clip showing Fred erecting wooden scaffolding at the top of a chimney, amazing and very scary!
Be interesting to see what modern techniques are like doing a similar job, with H&S all over you.
 
He was before the risk assessment era !
I watched the sky tv installation fellas the other day - Hard hats, Harness, ladder secured to the wall via a ring bolt and strap - well the were 10ft off the ground!
