Is my 2.3 Havana worth 35k miles good condition for age, wheels need refurb, two rears are the new 296 type it's 2010 January on a '59' plate.
My final payment is due in January and I've already bought a new SLK as BMW were mucking me about and told me to hand back car and walk away. Had a poor showroom experience so walked out.
MB weren't interested either in the car! As I got a cracking deal from my cousin without trade in.
Final payment of £12k ish and 4 payments of £500 so approx £14k owed.
Had a look at classifieds but these vary from £14-£18k.
Can't really be bothered with sale hassle but BMW make it hard to just return it, loads of mucking about and no doubt a bill as they will find scratches etc, there is one small one on the boot that will polish out and the wheels have a couple of scrapes.
Everything else is spot on.

no idea what its worth but you could stick it up for sale to see what interest you get and if you do manage to get a good price, you could use the money to pay off the remaining payments early rather than wait until january
 
I would give it a try on autotrader if you set the price realistic it may sell although its the wrong time of year for getting the best price, but anything more than the dealer will offer is a bonus
 
I can hand it back anytime without making payments :tumbleweed: so was just wondering if I could make some money on it instead.
If it was worth the hassle for just a few quid or not. :poke:
 
Most of us aren't car traders so what do we know about prices other than we want more than they're worth. I'd say look on autotrader for a guide or BWM AUC site perhaps etc...
 
I am afraid colour could be a problem

Webuyanycar will give you a realistic rock bottom price of £12150.

I would honestly say that if you can walk away now saving £2k in payments giving you theoretical price of £14k that would be your best option

Prices on mine, newer, higher spec, auto, better resale colour, mint with only 12k and still under warranty back in the summer were averaging £17k. As an example
 
Go to 'compare the market' car insurance, type in car reg. it gives a valuation, or probably what they are preparred to pay out if a loss.
 
If I'm honest I would be expecting around 12.5k. There are unsold trader ones with same mileage for £14k. I would also stump up for the wheel refurb, for the sake of £300 or so it may not increase the value but it would possibly make it more saleable if you want to get rid quickly.

I know z4s have taken a bit of a plummet in price, I have a white 10 plate 30i auto with same mileage and pretty much all the options, service pack etc and wouldn't expect much more than 13.5k for it today. They are not selling very well at the moment.

Maybe try and sell it to another dealer?

Windscreen repair should be free on your insurance if you have windscreen cover.

£60 excess for windscreen if it needs replaced(possible as right at top of screen? :tumbleweed:
 
In what way are BMW making it hard to give the Zed back. If it's BMW select the dealer doesn't need to get involved, just contact BMW to arrange collection, there will probably be a termination or admin fee but it should tell you in the original finance docs

If half the amount or more owed on finance has been paid off then I believe you can terminate the agreement and hand the car back.

In terms of selling I sold my 35is back to the Sytner Group a few months back after being offered what I thought was a decent price, considering it was an easy hassle free transaction. :)
