Well with my ongoing water getting into the cab i noticed a seal above the door that looked iffy and just plugs in.
So off to bmw dealer price wow.
It is about a 18 inch long bit of rubber.
Going to get ripped off here ime thinking bet its about 60 quid.
260 plus vat .

And I thought £20 for a small piece of plastic about 30x30x10mm that the roof rests on in the boot was expensive!
I think a trip / phone call to a car dismantlers is called for
 
Get the part number and punch it into ebay and see what you find. I’ve often gotten things cheaper doing it that way.
 
You think that's expensive?? I was missing a roof trim
(6 inches of rubber, around 2cm wide) from my Porsche convertible roof frame. £360 plus vat :o :o :o :( :( :( :(
