How much should I pay...

I'm looking to buy a new set of windscreen wipers and some chrome exhaust tip and have called a couple of BMW stealers and I have been quoted different prices ranging form £35 to £55 for each of these.

How much should I expect to pay?? Just wondering if i have been quoted for the right parts...

Bought my wiper blades (Boasch AeroTwin) from wiperblades.co.uk for about £25 delivered...

i paid around £4 for each wiper blade - proper Bosch ones with spoiler on driver's side. From Eurocarparts.

Makes Halfords look like robbers at £9+ each

... which are made by Bosch hence my suggestion. Flat blades are pretty cool though - they cured a juddering problem on my Panda.

If you don't like my suggestion then get a quote from a dealer. I'm sure you'll be looking at wiperblades.co.uk a few moments after you hear the dealer price

Thanks Tref... yeah the OEM ones are twice the price of the flat blades but having read quite a few threads on here about flat blades there have been mixed reviews so decided to stick to the OEM ones.

To make it clear, the Bosch ones I got are the 'traditional' OEM style ones. Not flat blade style.

Remember most Bosch OEM are not the extra bendy ones. I couldn't find them anywhere, so my normal Bosch and Aerotwins hover off the front nearside lower corner by about 1cm when parked at the very tip.

Only BMW (afaik) offer the ones with loads of bendy cantilever thingy bits...

Shame, because the blades in them are changeable, just I have no idea where to buy just the blades from to refit into the holders (which are solid and fine, and I still have)


So, if you can be bothered finding blades to refill the holders, go for it
