How much money is to much for a 911?...

Due to a clearing out of the top management at my local dealership it looks less likely I'll receive a GT3 RS even though I've had a deposit down for a while :headbang: however I did put in an LOI in when I purchased my 991S over 2 years ago for a 991 GT2 and I'm first in the queue for this car which will also be a very restricted supply circa 200 C16 units in total

For those that aren't conversant with this model it's a Turbo S on Steroids, i.e. higher boost pressure and other mods resulting in a 204 mph top speed, but I can purchase a 12 month old Lamborghini or Ferrari for the same cost, however there will be minimal depreciation on the Porsche unlike the former?

I've recently had test drives in the Lambo and Ferrari but I felt a bit of a prat in them

I feel for you i really do

IMOP The limited edition focused Porsche. Especially as you say you feel a prat in the others. And it makes financial scence with minimal depreciation its a no brainier. What are you doing hear get their and buy that car!!

Just get a 918 Spyder :poke:

Saw Rob Huff in his 996 GT2 at the Ring a few years back. He was going very quick despite it only being his first trip over there, and just wanting to get a feel for where the corners were for his first race the following week.

If they're going to stick to the lineage and keep that as RWD too then it'll be a beast for sure

BTW, did you get to try the F12 or 599GTO?

A GT2 would be a very safe place for the cash Graham but a GT3 RS even more so. Those two letters seem to make all the difference.

It's RWD only

599GTO a dealer car :)

I've got that option however I've no intention of going back to work FT, I'm happy with 1 day a month :)

I've got to be honest, as nice as the Porker is, I couldn't turn down the opportunity to have a lambo.

I will still take the RS if I can get hold of one and purchase the GT2 when it's out, however I like the Turbo power most of all :driving: not that I'll use it all of course

Well EVO figured even the 991 Turbo Cab at 2.96 to 60 and 6.9 to 100 so even in a regular, non-S Turbo you won't be wanting for acceleration/torque! ;)

If we are talking safety of cash, is it not worth hunting down a GT3 4.0 RS or a 997 Clubsport? They only appear to be appreciating.

GT2 could be the next one to do the same, if numbers are truely limited.

Would love a GT2 though.

Correct

997GT2 60 cars in the UK only, after my last post I changed my LOI to a GT2 RS and I'm number 1 on dealers list for this also however possibly only 40 UK cars and £190k +OTR costs and no discount

Bargain when you consider what 997 GT2 RS's are up for!

My thought's exactly, I did have a list of R8 V10--Mcl P13---Lamborghini Huracan, but that's all finished with now.

Don't think I could resist the Lambo, if I could aford one. Certainly wouldn't look like a prat around here. 8)

GT2 need's a bit of Ruff treatment & a nice Yellow coat. Then your talking proper :driving:

Huracan will be a fair bit slower than a 991GT2 RS

Yes a Lambo would sit well in our area, what I meant with my earlier comment was that I felt a prat 'driving' them and your saying "look at me driving this"
