How much is my Zed worth?

Thanks lads. Car booked in for Monday to have the minor brake issue sorted, just so there's no doubts whatsoever.

After I got home earlier from a couple of days down in Southampton for work I thought I'd take the Z for a 15 minute drive to decide how I'm going to describe the braking issue/non-issue to the garage.

I thought I'd film it and put it on here so any interested parties could get some perspective on the issue and how normal it is under braking.
Basically it felt great, especially on a lovely evening.

So to be honest I'm not sure how successful this experiment has been but I'm sure it would have demonstrated the so called "heavy vibration" had there been one.

Anyway have a look at my "wobbly cut and shut" ;) Hopefully it'll give prospective buyers a feel for the car and it's shady vendor

PS I have the full uncut video for any conspiracy theorists.

I think with a name like 'BallzDeep' we can't trust his opinion completely. You just don't trash a thread like this. Nice work Ben for holding your own. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, keep your Z4 ;)

This still isn't as bad as the m3cutters forum. That place has got ppl like balls deep by the hundreds and many are worse actually.

Looks to me like BD has missed out on a chance to get a well specced well kept forum car

btw good initial call on this Andy - it's not always easy to work out who's being straight, and who isn't. Good forum instinct

Yep, from what he states in his wanted thread my car is perfect for him except for the ASAP part. Which I reckon is what set him off (he hung up as soon as I mentioned the plate). Just think, if I hadn't said anything to him he could have done the 20 minute drive I did yesterday evening, not seen any braking issues and bought the car. I'd happily have listened to any justifiable negotiations on price because I'm not that driven by money. Consequently, I wouldn't sell it to him now for £10k, let alone £7k.

I agree. Cheers Wilks.

I would say the shady character is firmly the prospective buyer and not the seller, seriously ...what a bad attitude - you don't post S**t like that on the sellers thread, I suggest you take a look at forum etiquette before posting again!!

Just for thread completeness:

Yesterday the Z went into to my local garage for a brake strip down and clean.

There's loads of life left in both discs and pads so I didn't want to blow a few hundred quid just to get rid of a minor vibration if it wasn't necessary. As expected all brakes are functioning well but i paid a couple of hours labour to clean and lube everything.

Will monitor the brakes now to see if anything is felt at all whilst I'm waiting for the new V5. Certainly nothing felt in the three times I've driven it today.
