How much is my coupe worth?

Long story short I've had some spare money couple months ago and decided to purchase a damaged Cat C 2007 Z4. The car is coming back from the repair shop next week and I'm just wondering if I made the right decision when purchasing the car. This is not the first time I am using the bodyshop and all other cars repaired by them came back in perfect condition and I have always been impressed with the colour match and the standard of the repair work.

The damage before the repair took place.

2007 Z4 Coupe SI Sport with black leather sports seats in great condition and brushed aluminum trim. The car has done 87,000 miles and has all the options apart from sat nav. Not planning on selling the zed anytime soon but would like to know how much its worth. :|

For its age, mileage and Cat C status I would say around the 8k mark (flipper spec, no sat nav, xenons)

But others may more a little more experience in valuing Cat C cars

PS looks good in silver

Probably not too far off. A clean car with 87k would be worth £9-10k

Cat cars are normally 25% less.

So say £6,750 to £7,500 being my best guess.

If repaired so damage is not obvious the pics will do you a major favour in the sale process ,
Majority of negative thoughts on buying Cat reg cars is the not knowing what's gone on :?
Still think the figures above are close to the value you could achieve though , £7500 target give or take 10%

Not usually a fan of silver cars but must admit the zed really does pull it off really well. The whole car is also getting a professional paintwork restoration so the exterior should look perfect including brand new alloys.

Thanks for the quick reply and based on my experience the estimation is pretty spot on so I guess someone will get a very good car at a reasonable price when I decide to sell the car next year.

Defiantly would be happy with £7500 and thanks for the advice about including the photos in the advert. I have to agree that I would never purchase repaired car without seeing the previous damage before repair took place.

So what does the damage extend to?

Mainly body work as you can see in the pictures and also one of the wishbones has snaped in half so had to replace few parts of the suspension on one side but nothing major surprised that it's been writen off as Cat C.

Bump let's get few more intresting opinions.

"El Taco" is your man for that :D try a PM :P

Haha I'm not proud of it but I found most of his posts regarding "project marmite" very entertaining. :D

So did i mate  more taco is what we need as the dark nights kick in

Minor crumple. Get it sorted by a body shop and make sure it has a four wheel alignment

Unless you have a tattood bird and have no idea how to complete a project.

Was that OK?

CAD D is usually cosmetic, uneconomical to repair and CAT C structural. C sounds about right.
