How much for wing respray?

-bugging me with the lines under the clearcoat aswell,thinking of getting the whole wing resprayed,can body shops replicate the orange peel effect to match the other panels?
. You need to get BMW approved body shop to do the job. I guess the total cost will be more like £500 to £700.

Hi.... orange peel can be corrected by way of wet sanding... it can be a lenghty process but the car comes out with an unrivaled shine... orange peel is due to laquer over spray... if you post a pic up ill be able to tell you straight away..

orange peel is an undesirable effect on the paint surface... to get your car looking better than you could ever expect you should really see about getting it removed... i wouldnt take the car for a respray as this will only mean more paint and more orange peel and more of your time... a detailer will be able to remove all or an agreed amount of orange peel with a 2-3 day correction if you want it all away and the car looking like glass your talking nearer to the 4day mark and would be on average more than a respray but the finish would be 100 times better than a respray..

Not so much overspray as you would see microfine peel that has a rougher texture in comparison to what you typically see on a BMW. The level on a lot of BMW's not just Z4's is quite heavy. A complete dry sand and correctional detail on a Z would be around 50+ man hours of blood sweat and swearing tbh if its to be done 100% correctly and constantly checked for drop back. A paint shop would easily replicate orange peel so no worries there. You will never get a spot on replication of factory orange peel. Im taking it by the badge being higher you mean the spc badge ( I:E 3.0i etc ) as the BMW badge is fitted within the indicator.
I paid £100 for mine to be partially resprayed, it had been keyed before I bought it.
The Orange Peel isn't present in the new job (it would have went back to be done again if it was!) but you don't notice that.
Since then I've had the rear end and the front end resprayed, which means I now only have peel on the doors and rear quarter panels!
I'm still quite tempted to wet sand the bits that have the peel in and get the car looking perfect.

That's just for painting though, sounds OK but not that cheap?mikedav said:
A friend of mine has a 3.0 Roadster, Space Grey. He told me his quotes from a few body shops for front wings, bonnet and bumper prep and paint. This included doing the wings too and fading into the doors, so a bit more work, but the quotes were
