HOW MUCH for a touch up???

Sorry its not the nws kind :oops: rang stealers today for a touch up pen -£24.00!!!-is it just me or does this seem a rip off?-any more and it would be nearly as cheap to get a re-spray!
 
I think for under £20 last year I got touch-up paint, bottle of lacquer and a small brush to apply it.

I was looking at the scratch doctor one to for my sterlin grey , i got about 5 sone chips and its really bugging me.

They do niggle at you don't they (although my recent front bumper respray makes it shiny and new again). There are some youtube how-to's on Scratch Doctor products too I think. Apparently you have to use it ultra sparingly and build up layers
 
Depends on the girl you want to touch up........ sorry i couldnt resist :roll:

i got mine for £18 last year.... but if it needed more (which is unlikely) i would prob get it from halfords.

I use a toothpick for the stone chips i get.... the brush is a massive overkill.
 
I got an aerosol made by halfords last year , gave it good shake , sprayed some into the lid, stole one of my daughters makeup brushes an tried it out, my opinion is , its not the best of matches. I gave halfords all the codes colour ect, I found the match to be poor ,In the future I would go to BMW.
 
i think the halfords quality depends very much on the person mixing the paint up for you.

i have got tubs of paint mixed up by them to use in my spray gun... the Halfords in Derby in kingsway have always mixed up a perfect batch.... once went to the other halfords near the A52... and the silver paint match was much too dark.
