How much do aero skirts cost fitted?

Brand new primed (with forum discount) I was quoted £177 a side.

No idea how much I can get them painted for - im hoping around £200

The main stealer wants £198 per side (untainted)
If anyone knows of some going, shoot me a PM I'm waiting to get some before I get the bumpers reprinted - seems no point keep going back to the body shop.

This, plus painting, which i paid 150 for, so you are looking at around 500 ish for new skirts painted at non bmw bodyshop.

Bedubs were non aero skirts that he sold.

Oooh Aeros... look at them every time I go to the car & think mine mine mine...

I was fortunate - Sopers with full fitting kit was about £360, primed & ready to paint. Jamie & Mark said price was like a yoyo on these, as was £325 earlier in the year - instead got second hand.

bear in mind that with second hand, painting will cost you more as they 99% will have small stone chips as directly inline with front wheels. Guy who did mine owed me a favour so 'only' paid just over £100 for them both to be sprayed, though at one place was quoted £150 a side.

Fitting... find someone who has done it before & buy them a beer. I wouldn't wire up a cruise control stalk, but fitting these if u take your time from start to finish will take under an hour with two people.

It's sourcing a set that's the biggest challenge...

Nice - I didn't get a beer from Jem for helping, and he's just told me he won't help fit my cruise

Sopers is the cheapest - 2nd hand can be cheaper but they don't come up often (though navidv just sold a set I think). Painting is generally £150 to £170 from what I have seen.

Dead easy to fit with some help, takes an hour tops including getting the old ones off.

Fitting cost just one beer, if only.... More expensive than that - two frothie home made lattes; iced fruit drink; fresh bread, cheese & meat salad :poke:

But deffo worth it...

Ummm... All that happened BEFORE you bought your aero skirts - I don't do forward pricing of my services :poke:

You could go to realoem.com and find out... Alternatively in the first post of this thread :

I don't know the part numbers for the fittings kit, but if you buy from Sopers just ask for it as they will find it on the system.

The number for the parts department at Sopers is 01522 681680. Ask for Jamie or Mark (think Jamie is away, Mark dealt with me this week) and mention the Forum to get a discount.

Each skirt works out to about £250 with VAT from the main dealer. Maybe a bit cheaper from Sopers.

Part No's

Right 51710150780

Left 51710150781

Add £100 for painting. Maybe a bit more if you don't want to fit yourself.

So £600ish

Jamie quoted £360 for two with forum discount 1 month ago - that includes the £17 fitting kit of all the lugs
