How much are my wheels worth? (Z4MC)

Hey guys, thinking of buying some CSL wheels and tyres and dont really want to keep my original M coupe wheels so what are they worth?

my cars 4 months old and the wheels and tyres are MINT (conti's with approx 5/6mm dont have a guage).

Any ideas?

Thanks

Andy..

I'll give you £5.95 if tyres are included for the complete set, but only for a quick sale, before anyone else offers you silly money!

Just sold mine for £650 inc shipping (same near-new condition), although £40 of that is for delivery. If anyone knows of anyone who'll actually deliver for that sort of money, let me know, because so far i've been quoted £28 per wheel by ParcelForce :o

I listed them on eBay for £900 and got no bids, but I did get a few offers in the £400-600 region, so achieving £500 should be easy enough i'd have thought.

Eeek. Thats a poor price.

I've stuck with mine (1200 miles on them). Will put them back on when I sell the car and sell the CSL's (unless I sell private and the buyer wants them).

Suppose the problem is that they're a niche wheel given they only fit certain cars.

Try Parcel2Go they will do it a lot cheaper than that.

That's a really good price for them IMO considering they have very limited fitment and aren't the prettiest wheels on the market. I've kept mine in the attic for now but I reckon at that price they're worth selling. Offers welcome

Hi Zipster,

would definately be interested, but they would have to be 'mint' with no scuffs/scratches. where about are you and how many miles have they done??

I found a courier company on Ebay that shipped me 4 wheels (x5 so pretty big) 180 miles door to door for £60. You oft find if your prepared to wait a day or 2 until they do a local run they'll do a great deal

Sammy, I also have some and I'm only down the road from you, just outside Warrington. They are mint and have done 6000 miles, tyres still very good. PM if you're interested.

I like them, but they chip like ***. Dealer replaced a complete set already for me, and they start to chip again ... Hence my desire for some spares.

Hey I like the standard wheels so much I'm trying to buy another set :D
I happen to think the standard wheels look better on the roadster than the coupe which looks really well with the CSL wheels. All a matter of personal preference in the end

That's very true - the CSL's do seem to do more for the coupe than the roadster...
Mine are now fitted and i'll be getting photy's uploaded soon :D
Oh, there are a few other benefits: 37lbs (think that's right) saved off the weight of the car with the standard wheels, wider wheels = wider tyres = more grip, and having new wheels lets you choose a new brand of tyre. I can fully support recent reviews that put the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric at the top of the pile - the tiny amount of testing i've done so far reveals they're in a completely different league to the standard Conti's! Oh, 1 last advantage: it feels like the car's had a mini suspension upgrade! The ride is very slightly firmer, but the car feels so much better planted, and you get a suprising amount of extra feedback too.
As you may have noticed, i'm really happy! :D

Screamer,

I'll look out for you when I next head over to Wales for a 'B' road blast!! Denbeigh to the A5 for starters. I've got a roadster in Imola red which will soon have 8 wheels! Imagine the grip!!! But oh the extra weight!

8 wheels is the new thing (especially with dealers telling you that the excessive chipping is normal stone chips ...)

Cool - i've got a pretty good route that takes a few hours to complete, but takes in a whole load of great roads inc the evo triangle... :D
