A rainy afternoon here..so got bored and crunched some numbers..interesting..but..

Some errors due to the largest numbers rounded to thousands...but close enough for goverment work..

Interesting to see how many E85M are sorn at the end of Q1..same story for Z3, maybe many more are Garage Queens destined to never move again? Has rust got to the Z3 and E85 meaning they are SORN beyond econmic repair?

Apologies on formatting..

not a surprise to me that there is a high number of Z3s sorn. There is one round the corner from me that has been under tarp for the entire 15 years i have lived here.

My Z3 is SORNed but not for any of the common reasons.

Interesting, what is your data source? I am surprised the SORN rate is high. In Nov 23 it was c.13%, I was looking at E85/E86 Si data only (inc 2.5Si).

DVLA tables Q1 2024

Just sorned mine as I’m not gonna get many chances to drive it the rest of this year. Would be good if the DVLA had a system set up so you could tax it for a day here and there when you want to get it out though

Don't do what I did recently which was tax the car for 6 months then sell it a few days later. I thought I would get most of the tax back but they lopped 40 quid off the refund for a few days tax
