I did it so I could hide the new quite expensive cars from the nosey curtain twitchers !
So in reality mine was also an age hiding excercise as well

Had my private plate around 16 years now transferred from my last car to the Z and I do like the 5 digit look to a plate but my initials minus my middle initial are GB so not cheap remember enquiring about GB 666 many many moons ago and offers started at 8K :o settled for all three initials a lot cheaper.

I've had my plate for over 15 years, strangely, bought by my ex wife with my credit card, :? was still a surprise at the time. had it on retention for years until I purchased the zed last year, I love how it looks on the Zed J4 DRR.

My first plate was bought for my wife for a wedding anniversary. We were on holiday in Germany and I told her that I had ( completely out of character) bought her something and what did she say? It had better not be a Registration Plate!!!!

There’s gratitude for you!

Where i live they all know this is my zed and leave well alone!

I have V11 DEJ - The later part being my initials, but, by moving the spacing to V1 1DEJ it spells Jedi backwards! Plus I think moving the spacing (illegal I know but 3 years down the line I’ve never been stopped) makes it look more interesting. I think a Cars Number plate is kind of it’s signature.

These werre originally on my 1976 Fiat 124 Spider, but now that that is on 'historic registration' the SPYDUH plates found a new host.

Had mine for a few years now, it's the year I was born Y66 and my initials,,no real value to anyone else but I like it.

My plate isn't private but it is very special. A neighbour of mine has a similar registration and when the two cars are parked side by side they make a lovely pair. I will post a photo soon so that you can see what I mean! :D

I have H17 and my initials plus H18 & H19 ,all bought by ex wife's and ex girlfriend !! H19 is on the Zed the others are on my bikes, both BMW's , S1000R & S1000RR. they look quite good when they parked up together.

Although I miss the small ‘Park Lane’ imprint on the bottom of the original registration plate, I had to go private 8)

You just passed me on West Hampstead high street! Sounded pretty good - that’s not a stock exhaust, is it?

I was the guy in shorts... :D

I didn’t see you unfortunately but haha yeah that was me

Supersprint Race.

I have a private registration on retention, FRA991E. I'd not been planning to use it, but my coupe has quite a charmless registration, LJ 07 VXG. I'm not really a fan of private plates, so have conflicting thoughts. I'd been planning to sell the registration, but I think the coupe might look a little smarter with the private plate screwed on.

I'll make a decision when I get my V5. Meanwhile if anyone thinks they can persuade me whether it's the right or wrong thing to do, I'm all ears. Well, eyes.

I've got three granddaughters, Scarlett ,Georgia, and Olivia that's why I bought this plate :D
