How many owners have private plates?

I’m considering one. I’ve never really thought of putting one on my previous cars, but I may just do it on the Zed.

My Z4C carries my initials and birthdate. It was a wedding anniversary present.
My E46 carries the private plates that came with my E30.
My E30 has it's original plates back, as it is now old enough to wear it's original registration with pride.

I'm in the skinflint minority it seems!

I think having one would probably enhance my Coupe as they have aged really well.

But I'm struggling to work out what to go for - when your first name is Iain you aren't going to finding your initials, unless you pay more for the plate than the car!

Yes - a complete waste of cash - but there’s no pockets in a mans last shirt!
D5 RAK and E5RAK both on our cars and I have E6RAK on a retention cert in the safe.

The front plate on the Z4 is shortened but not misplaced digits and has 15mm before and after the digit string. It looked ok when I had the three cars on the drive but I kicked the Disco 3 into the long grass and the Z is normally in the garage.

I must get around to selling the E6 RAK but I don’t know what to ask. The plate sellers don’t seem to suggest realistic prices and want to advertise with additional charges.

I have a private plate, just makes the car look nicer if it has fewer letters imo.

It wasn’t planned but mine could have been a valid reg for my birth year

The year I was born there was no prefix (or even suffix) on number plates! :roll:

I own 2 private plates and used them in Alberta, living in British Columbia now posed a problem so I had to stop using Personalised plates. In Ab, you pay once for the plate, then the normal rate for the rgistration and renewals but in B.C. you pay the excess fees every year, a major cash grab. Hating the mindless govt here the way I do I refuse to give them more than absolutely necessary. Sad but true

Surprised that ruby MC is still for sale assuming it’s the same one they had there last summer.

Got one to hide the age of the car, plus I think they suit Z4's in particular for some reason.

Got a new car now on an 18 plate, so private plate will go on retention until I get an older car or just decide to plonk it on the new one because it is an easy plate to remember.

When I bought my last cars, both new, I had my plates put on from new.

When I bought my last cars, both new, I had my plates put on from new.

Easy enough to do these days, but as I purchased it to hide the age of my 2005 Santa Fe a few years ago, I then swapped it to my 2003 Z4, it seemed pointless on a new car! I will do at some point no doubt though.
