My miles are split between the three cars in the family and my wife and I tend to travel together.

Which begs the question, why do you keep it?

Not trying to provoke or wind you up, I'm genuinely intrigued :) I can't say I'd bother keeping a car taxed and insured for such little use unless I was in a position to store and afford a large collection of cars who all had limited use.

Back on topic, mines on around 47k now. I bought it on 32 ish so that's about 5000 a year. Mind you, 5k of those have been covered in 2 large roadtrips so average monthly use is well below what it seems.
 
This is interesting, but it would be more interesting if we could have separated the E85/86 and E89ers out. I think my car is pretty low mileage being an E85 with just over 30k on an 08 plate. Maybe it needs to be split by year?! I wonder how complicated I could make this?! Good survey.

Is yours not E86 on an 08 ?
 
E85 = Roadster
E86 = Coupe

Mine is a 2003 (Sept) currently on 81k, it was on 19k when I bought it 5 years ago.

Just to show that it you keep on top of the maintenance of the car, it will be as reliable as any Euro-box.

Just had my 6th straight MOT pass - just an advisory for worn front pads, but they're still at 5mm (after the 'Ring and Oulton Park) so should last me until the spring :thumbsup:

Tester still has a marmite relationship with my car as he love the way it sounds and makes the floor shake (this is mainly a commercial vehicle test station), but he's about 6ft and 25 stone, so has 'issues' getting in and out of it :P

Was also just checking to see how accurate my current 25k/year estimate was...
  • 2009-2010 = 11,266
  • 2010-2011 = 16,935
  • 2011-2012 = 19,781
  • 2012-2013 = 25,211
  • 2013-2014 = 24,935
  • 2014-2015 = 24,205
Can anyone see when I started to work most in the UK again :P
