How many engine turns before it fires?

Not had the need to go out today & shattered after a long week at work. When I was using the car after fitting the battery, it was not from a long stand. Tomorrow morning will be the test & will update accordingly.
Hoping it is / was the battery given it was holding a low charge overnight. If it's the car draining it (my other thought after buying & fitting a battery!), then I have more investigative work to do.
Waiting before turning the key made no difference at all.

Started it this morning and part way through cranking I sneezed & stopped turning the engine. Started straight away after, but might have been my pre-crank.
Never sneezed while cranking the car before & typically it happens when I want to check that the new battery has cured the slow start! Tonight I will make sure I do not sneeze
Well sort of, it does it less often, but no logic as to when it takes more turns than expected.
Can leave the car for a few days, then it fires on the third engine turn. Other times it is about twice as long as expected. When it does this, it has almost a partial turn and then fires properly. Not describing it well.
No idea why the video doesn't work though! Will check the settings.
No lumpy idle when it starts though, sits at 800rpm stable as possible.

Check with your other key too, noticed the distance to lock and unlock was getting a bit longer on my daily use key and was taking a bit longer to fire, swapped to my spare key and the remote works better and starts first time again. Assume the other key battery is dying so taking longer to clear the immobilizer or charging a bit first.
Good point. I had that issue with my 7 series where there was something not quite right with the immobiliser code that was being generated and did not always match the ignition. I used the spare key from then onwards and never used my (previous) main key anymore.
