How many 3 Ltr Si E85s

Hi.
Have'nt long bought myself the 3 Ltr Si roadster and just wondered if there's any info on how many of these were sold in the UK? and maybe how many there are still on the road?
I see quite a few coupe's for sale, but not so many roadster's.
Just out of interest really.

I am sure someone will be along who knows the exact figure but I though it was around 600 or so in the UK market hence seeing less than the Coupes
 
I never trust howmany left as it says there were only 1400 3.0i SE's sold in the UK which has to be incorrect
 
Just over 2,000 E86’s and less than 1,000 E85's were sold in the UK.

Here are overall numbers in all colours across the 4 different engine sizes....

BMW confirmed to me that my E85 3.0Se (white) was 1 of 2 cars.... Mine is a 2004 plate and 1 other was made in 2005....not sure about pre facelift / facelift split of the overall 3 litre engine models but it would be good to know total and the split.

The link I posted above gives you the facelift numbers - just over 1100 Alpine White E85’s were produced worldwide and only 2 of those were in the UK.

The reason there's not that many for sale is that when anyone gets one they usually keep it for a long time.

Obviously I asked BMW who confirmed it for me for the number of UK White E85 3.0 pre-facelift models which is my car and one other (2). Looking at your source, that information is for 'facelift only' as those 2 UK White 3.0si are registered in 2007 (facelift). That would indicate there are 4 E85 Alpine White 3 litre UK models (2 pre-facelift and 2 facelift) - Cross reference that information to the colour chart it would indicate that the other 47 of 51 UK E85 white ones are smaller engines...

Don't forget Jingles converted his white 2 Litre engine to a 3 litre engine so that's 1 white non oem 3 litre knocking about.... Got there in the end😂
 
Since buying the Z4 I have spent a few quid because I want it looking better than before, not that it wasn't good to begin with but.

The drivers seat and bolster looked very tired of all the bottoms that have sat there over the years so I've had that professionally upgraded back to looking good.
I've also had the paintwork machine polished and waxed.
Replaced the front bonnet badge, old one had started to peel, and replaced all the wheel centre's.
Changed the front grill to black.
Replaced all the worn disc's with M Tec drilled and grooved and fitted new Bosch pads all round.
It's booked in now for a wheel refurb after the bank holiday.

I'm still thinking I will have the exhaust back box refitted soon, pops and crackles are ok but it can also be a headache on a run, So I'm getting there quietly.
 
It's good to see you are working through your list. :thumbsup:

If I had a 3.0Si I'd want a back-box of some sort on it. They are pretty loud without one!
