How Low Can You Go!?

Slightly OT, but when you roll arches (which to me means bending in the flange (stop giggling at the back!) of the arch itself, doesn't that lead to a very tight (stop it!) V shape on the arch that can collect all sorts of crap leading to rust etc?

Good question. They seal the tight V shaped flange ( ) with a sealant to stop that happening
When they are done its pretty much butt up against the inside of the arch so it doesn't take long to seal it.

Looks spot on great job  ,is it an easy job to relocate the front liners?I,ve got a bit of rubbing since fitting eibachs and 15mm spacers.

I really like it,but am a huge fan of lowered/slammed motors. What is the ride like now, harsh?

Appreciate the comments! thanks to all

Easy job mate. Take out the bumper mounting screws/push pins, push the liner behind the bumper lip, do up the screws/pins and away you go! Took 2 mins each side. It's always good to have a heat gun to hand so you can shape it a little more where rubbing is occurring.

The ride is great. I much prefer it with the lowering springs on than with stock. It is firmer and more responsive, but I wouldn't say particularly harsh. Love it!

New thread with the Z's updates etc... http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=44800

Cool

The ones I got have 235/35 front and 265/30 Rear.
But since we're non-M the 255 rear seems the best option.

Cheers Luke

Also thinking Falken 453

Lukes is nicely lowered, although i think i'll fit 225 fronts.

I've got coilovers to fit and was supposed to do it today but somethings come up and need new tyres for new wheels so might as well do it all together properly over a day.

Ba3bas - when I get tyres next I will be getting 225 up front too

Jonny... Just drop it mate!!!

Think I am ordering my fk springs tomorrow :D

How dose it ride Luke? My arches rub already!! And the car bottoms out from time to time now any way. I hope it's not to much worse!!

Been running on a set of fk's for 6 months or so now. A little rubbing from time to time but i think its worth it. Would love to go lower but id never make it off my drive... Without leaving my bumper behind anyway

Yours would look brilliant on FKs Matt! TBH I had slight rubbing on the rear with my wheels before I put these on but because of the camber caused by the drop, the rear rubbing has disappeared. I get slight rubbing up front with mine but I think that's probably down to tyre choice.

Ride wise... It's pretty firm! I really like it. I do a lot of motorway / carriage way driving an LOVE the feel of the Z. I do try and stay clear of roads I know have huge pit holes in or larger than life speed bumps! Only because the front arches catch slightly and I'd prefer to ride a little smoother if I can help it! I have only been caught out once which left me with a scraped side skirt (underneath) :( ooh and the time I bottomed out on a field and had to get towed off by a tractor!! Pictures on another thread somewhere!! That wasn't my fault though!
