how long does the phone power stay on

Hi ive just fitted my nokia phone into the factory fitted cradle. of my Z4, can i ask is the power supply to the phone on trickle charge all the time the ignition is off, or does the phone shut down/turn off after a set period of time after ignition and key out, i was just wondering about possible current drain..

Will depend how you have wired it up. If you have used a sot lead then I would expect the power to be stopped shortly after turning the ignition off. There maybe a constant live like with the radio but that will take very little power.

thanks for the reply, i dont know how its wired as the car had the factory phone set up from new, all i have done is put a nokia phone into the cradle, thtas built into the car.

I find in any of the BMWs I've owned that the power to the phone is only available when the ignition is on. Once it's off then no more charging and that's with the factory set up. I use both cradles and USB leads in the arm rest.
