Awesome National Geographic documentary on the making of the "Zee 4" (as the Yanks put it)! Wow, it really is an eye-opener and when you see everything that goes into making one, you wonder how you can pick one up so cheaply!

I did see a couple of Coupes in the production process (paint), but didn't get a mention - probably because they're so exclusive... :poke:
 
The coupe is sprayed with pheromones, as it is meant to be a pussy magnet. That part of the process is still classified.

It would need to be as Coupe drivers need all the help they can get :P
 
A true petrolhead's dream - watched the whole thing - no wonder BMW have such a reputation. Glad I watched it after I was thinking about decamping to a Coupe - reminded me just how good the roadster looks - just reinforces to me to keep with what I've got. My car my be 9 years old but still has the "looks " to die for !!!

I have seen bits of this, but not all at once.
I expected several here to be offended by the Steering Wheel on the wrong side comment.
I can relate to that poor sod on crutches picking up his Z at the factory.

My ride is sweeter knowing how it was built.

Has to be a Roadster mate, especially with summer on its way (allegedly)! :D

Glad you all enjoyed it, makes me realise just what a great piece of machinery the Z4 actually is, and I have to say, no matter how long I've had it - it still puts a smile on my face when I drive it! Dare I say it's the one true constant in my life that never fails to impress me....
 
Great find! glad i got to see this - always good to see what efforts go into making a great car. Last vid i saw as good as this was the making of the lotus elise - if only lotus made comfortable cars!!!!!!!
