how is the price of gas affecting you driving your z?

the price of gas got me to buy my z4mc. i had an suv that required options in an oil company and couldn't park it anywhere downtown (too tall). decided i wanted to get a fun car that was better on gas. enter the z4mc. i live close to work so i either cab or street car to work, so driving is mostly recreational.

Its about the same over here, ie 2-3p a litre more than petrol but you make a saving due to the increased fuel economy....A BMW 335D Coupe will be as quick if not quicker than a 335i but return 42MPG (UK Gallons) all day. I would still have the petrol as I prefer the noise, feel and dynamics, but modern diesels make alot of sense...Our stupid fuel prices are thanks to a 65% tax on fuel...
 
If gas gets real pricey, i'll go back to a motorcycle. Good excuse to spend several thousand dollars to save a couple hundred a year. Good thing math and logic were never my wife's strong subject!
 
:headbang: here in greece the price is 1.05+ euros per litre!!! i remeber that the fisrt time that i went to a gas station before 5 years the price was 0.60+ per litre!!!!
 
Gas prices are only going to go one way and that is up! The Middle East Wars increase the price of oil. Just buying their crap would be easier! Now if the West attacks Iran :( - we are talking about $10/US Gallon I fear (in the US of A). You guys in Europe should all get Vespa's. I might get a Honda Civic Hybrid. :(
