How I park at work

My colleagues laugh at me for how I park when I visit our head office.

However, I'm sure I'm not the only person who parks well away from other vehicles to avoid those annoying car park dings am I?

This is the works car park and I love it as it rarely gets full :D

I love the first normal spot next to a disabled/child space. I get right over next to the line as there's a huge hatch markings between their spaces.

I usually park over 2 spaces at work, the car park is never full anyway and it discourages people from parking too close, people think I'm a tw@ for taking up 2 spaces but we have miles more spaces than we need in the carpark so I dont care

Same here, as far away from the riff-raff as possible, but you can guarantee that some moron will park in the adjacent space, even in an empty car park. The struggle is real. :D

We tend to park in the bay one up from the trolley shelters but park on the white line so that nobody can squeeze into the vacant bay next to the trolley shelter.

Next to the pay and display in our Morrisons is also a good wide spot.

What I tend to find is there's always one eejit who will, once you've parked away from everyone, with lots of spaces to either side, front and rear, park right next to yours!! Seriously, what's that all about?

You clearly work a long way from me - I never see empty car parks!

Regarding the shopping, I find the best way to avoid car park damage is to get the nice men from Ocado to bring the groceries home for us!

I can park the furthest away on a car park and when i get back someone as parked right next to me WTF

Unfortunately my works car park always gets full however I am sure that people laugh at me as drive round the car park looking for a space on an end where I can as far over from the car next to you. Then I glare at everyone so they know not to mess with me or my car :D

I don't park my car at work... My motorbike now gets slid into a small blind alleyway that no one has reason to go into an my office over looks :D

Supermarket carparks. I only frequent a small number and know of spaces in all of them which no one uses because unless you revers into them they're a total nightmare to get out of.

:o do you not reverse into every parking spot!

You miss the point. I reverse in but as most people don't they don't want to use the spaces meaning I'm almost certain to get into spaces. This also means the people parking next to me are almost certainly going to be careful as they will reverse in too.

We have a reverse parking policy at work - so I look for a parking bay on the end, preferably on my near side
(The theory is all cars have a driver but many don't have a passenger :) )
The added benefit is the end slots are not 'open' but against planted areas, so park hard up to these

Parking is a nightmare at my office.. fortunately I'm normally one of the first in (7:30) and grab one of the nice big disabled spaces outside the front door. We have no disabled employees and disabled spots are fair game in our carpark, people are up on kerbs by 9am so I'm rarely late for work :)
