Since its Friday, I’m bored and new on here, I thought I would post up a short thread to show how I arrived at my Zed ownership – as from 4:30pm today…. :lol:
We start with the car I should have never sold, E34 540 quite a rare car in the 6 speed manual version…. something like 16 were made in this spec in 1995, I believe.
From that lovely V8… I went over to a coupe for a few years, Jag XKR, never really got on with this one…. She looked and sounded great and was decent enough in a straight line, but 80’s rover touches put me off and the ship like handling wasn’t for me…
I then purchased my S8 alongside the XKR, another big V8 (can you spot a theme here? :lol: )
I love this car…. Does everything I want it too… and goes about it very discretely…
So I got fed up with the XKR… went for something really different… Abarth 500… great little car, lots of fun in this little go-cart… I think everyone should at least have a drive in one, just once!
As much fun as it was…. I turned sensible for a moment, and traded that in for a Lexus Diesel, which really angered the car gods…. So I quickly made up for it by getting rid and buying my Audi S4 – another big V8…
And now that is the car that is making way for the Zed…….. we’ll see how that compares with the big V8 sledgehammers I love…..
The Zed is in good company though, I do have another straight 6 in the fleet… bought this Jeep for £600 years ago, and use it for winter…. It’s a beast and a half and refuses to die! :lol:
