How feasible is an interior swap?

Hey guys,

My Z4 is a beautiful black but has a beige interior that tones horribly with the exterior color (this of course is my own personal opinion, your mileage may vary).

I've been playing around with the idea of possibly changing interiors, but I'm starting to see that it's quite a numerous task, compared to doing one on an E39, as an example. Has this been done (and was it by chance recorded online)? An easy step would be to exchange all the leather out for black leather and keep the plastic parts beige, but I'm not sure about a two-tone setup like that. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Thanks, that really looks great!

I'd need to change the back panels behind the seats, I'm not sure if that's even possible.

yeh ofcourse its possible... whole interior can be changed no problem.
you could look into dying the carpets ??
parts on ebay always up forsale... i got the biege interior too.. I fcking hate it, im changing it when I get time...

Funny I really line mine but the car is claret so I think they go well. If you could get a scrapper job and the whole lot I don't see why you couldn't change them but I would say it would be a massive task.

When you say beige do you mean the light colour or the champagne colour?

tbh it was the combo of interior and exterior and the nice bts of chrome/ali that really swung it. the only bit i dont like is the handbrake as it looks a bit like a snakes cock with the way the leather has worn.

i desperatly want to give the whole car a clean to get it looking nice after the winter.

I have cream beige interior and recently sourced some black sport seats, installed them and it looked awful - in the end i had the black seats retrimed cream to match the plastic interior

But if you do plan to swap over all interior plastics then expect to pay a min of £500 - stripping the car down wont be too problematic, just fiddley and time consuming

I originally was after a champagne coloured interior... I think it looks nice.

But if you want to change to black... I'd get the trim pieces wrapped... Cheaper then sourcing new parts... And then get the seats dyed.
