No my fault entirely, I scan read your sig and didn't see the "previous" bit

I found my Z4MC on par with RS4's and many things I didn't thinking it would keep up with.

Great cars, it's in my top 3 cars I've owned without a doubt :driving:

I can echo this impression entirely - love this car !

I've seen an indicated 260 on mine. I've also had a few goes with a mate with a CSL, predictably he walked all over me, we're talking 3-4 car lengths until 230-240.

Damn CSL's  265 (indicatd on speedo last week).

Iagree with a lot of posts here, speed is dangerous. You've got to rememeber that at this speed if you're in a long sweeping corner on the motorway and you see tail lights in the distance and suddenly back off or zeven worse brake, you'll kill yourself with that short wheelbase. Pssing a small car at those speeds you'll blow them to the side. small inputs a must. Visibility especially from the sides os awful, yiour field of visiobn is seriously affected. But yes you should "work up" to those speeds to get used to it, but only in absolutely safe conditions.

I've had a remap which removed the limiter on my Z4MC. I have a video on my Facebook of a 181mph indicated on the clock, and was still pulling slightly. I think this was a GPS of around 173mph from my Vbox at the time.

How was it at those speeds?

wow, scarey

Pretty stable in all honesty. I did much the same in a TVR Tuscan S once - I needed all lanes of the motorway I was on at the time, as it was all over the place!

I'll try and link to the video...

Does this work?

My Cerbera was like that, but much better once I put Pro-tech dampers on it.

Nice vid mate - i too recently got mine to the last dot after 180 :) needed all three lanes at the time too...

Next time i'm out on the continent i'll see if i can attach a cam to it. BTW was your car stock when you did that i.e diet, exhaust etc...

Hi guys seems to me E46 m3's have higher top speeds? I swear they can do 175mpg de-limted?

Same engine? sligthly less weigth? surley there not as slippery as the smalle z4m?

hit 150 a few times in my old z4 3.0.. But doesn't really feel really solid at speed. Is there a underliying problem with the z4 guys?honestly?

my next car I'm looking e46 m3/z4m or 2007+350z And i really wanna go z4m but a few little things put me off like this and the wiegth!

OH and on the subject of speed my GSXR1000 regularly headbuts it clocks at 186 :P

E46 weight is about 100kg more than the Z4M. Hence Z4M is quite a bit quicker to 60 & 100 MPH. Weight has nothing to do with top speed.

Beat the pants off an E46 M3 vert on the track on Saturday, left him for dead on the straights and in the bends  ... A 996 GT3 couldn't get away from me, and I managed to pass him with some scary late-breaking into a 120 degree hairpin. A GT2 and a 300bhp 500kg Westfield made very short work of me though

Probably a mix of your mods and your driving :)

Next on the list is more negative camber to lessen understeer... For now I'll just have to rely on the old faithful of  + :driving:
