How fast are your reactions? - motorbike content.

The way I look at this type of thing is: going fast and having FUN and adrenaline is basically part of our human nature we can't help our self's like others may be able to, but its not really the speed that everybody is upset about, but more so the situation in which the speed is a factor in. If it was a proper track/drag strip nobody would say its crazy for them to go those speeds but, its the speed plus the factor of others around them just trying to safely get from A to B that most people are upset about.

I'm all for having fun and even on the freeway or streets BUT!, only if there's no danger towards others is it fine to me. For instance, I see where some of you are coming from calling them idiots and such I even agree but, I'd be OK with it if there was nobody on the road. If there's nobody on the road at the time then have at it go nuts its you and your friends life that you want to put in danger nobody else's life. If your old enough to drive/ride then your clearly old enough to understand the dangers your about to take part in, that's your choice. Sure its overall just a better idea to just save it for the track but if your going to do it anyways then at least make sure your doing it so only those that are wanting to get involved are going to be involved with the worst case scenario of an accident.

So basically, I know we want to have fun like these guys in the video and there isn't much we can do about others like them but, if you plan on doing this type of stuff then at least make sure its only you that's going to be involved with your fun if something would happen.so what I'm saying in a way is keep in mind others on the road with your fun, biker or driver. :)

Quite right there.

Yes it's fun to go fast, but at 186mph if you hit a car you can do significant damage to the occupants. 99.9% certain you will die and that's the risk you accept going fast. You can't accept the risk of injuring or killing someone else because you want to take a risk with your own life.

I was harassed by biker whilst I was filtering on the motorway and apparently not going fast enough. So much that he pulled up next to me to shout at me for "having no balls and not knowing how to ride". If he wants to dodge between cars on his cheap ass bike fine, but I'll keep my MV Agusta in one piece thanks!

Yes, gets to me too, especially as a biker.

Exactly what I mean, its not the fact that you could kill your self and because of the speeding that everybody is upset about the video but, rather the fact that you could kill somebody due to your arrogance. I'm not one to lie about this kind of stuff, I admit I used to be crazy, speeding swerving in traffic in between cars with inches between my front and rear bumpers separating me and the other vehicles but, one day I nearly lost it on a long curve on the freeway, I actually ended up doing a pretty badass drift with all things considered when I tried recoving from the lost traction when I was half way into the curve. But after that "holy crap, I almost lost my new 350z and probably would have killed somebody in the process" moment, I made sure I saved my fun for when its just me that would suffer from my mistake(s). In the end its just not worth it. Bike or not. But like I said. Have your fun I can't stop you, hell I still have my fun on the open road but, make sure nobody is going to suffer if something happens.

But none of that applies to talking/texting while driving, if I see you doing that I'll beat your *as lmao
 
tossers. nuff said. unfortunately it wont be them that comes off the worse just some poor innocent person they cut up etc or another biker who gets run into and doesnt deserve it.

Yup, just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. Time and place for everything, and that road (hard shoulder) did not look like the place. I expect they are dead by now.

You can take my opinion with a pinch of salt but unfortunately reality speaks for itself and perfectly demonstrated by the video.

Note I didn't say all bikers.

No need to upset yourself when not agreeing with others opinions. :)

I guess it's another example of not the speed, but the conditions around you being the problem here. I've had bikes go past at speeds I can't even begin to imagine and you just don't have a chance of seeing them coming let alone being able to plan and account for them-I wonder if any of these guys have ever been on the other side of this kind of riding as I'd imagine they might change their habits....maybe.

That said, I bet there's nothing like it and it must be absolutely incredible to hit those speeds on a bike - I bloody loved riding my mountain bike down steep hills, gambling with brake fade and 'racing' cars and I've only ever managed a heady 45mph :lol: it must take a lot of restraint not to go 150+ regularly on a big bike as it must be so effortless to get there.
