How far back does the steel top deck go under the rear plastic coaming?

As title states…looking to maybe put a couple of neat security mounts on the outside of the plastic coaming to facilitate a last line of defence if my suction mounted boot rack starts to detach..long enough to stop and sort it out…

I assume the metal goes as far at least as the line of plastic screws ?IMG_1056.jpegIMG_1055.jpegIMG_1054.jpeg
 
Well yes, the only metal is what you see on the outside where the top lands.... Those posts are connected to the plastic (#1) 54377220790 Folding top compartment lid. I took a few pictures when I removed the seal from a ebay donor part.
