How easy do you think it is to sell right now?

The Z is going this month (its going to be a sad day).

Was thinking of trading as it seemed to be a bit tough to shift things a couple of months ago and didn't want to hassle of a private sale when I could get close on price on a px.

However, prices on Pistonheads seemed to have picked up a bit, but I don't know if these cars are selling at these prices.

I have a 54 plate 3.0iSE manual, M6 18" alloys, 64k on the clock in sterling silver - any wise ones out there have a view on how much I could get privately right now (seems to be somewhere between 6 and 7?!?) but more importantly, how easy it is to sell it privately right now...?

Thanks

Stu

I'd say your valuation is about right assuming FSH, vgc etc. The recent weather won't have done you any harm as a bit of warm weather convinces some people they need a Roadster for the summer.

in which case whats your excuse..... :poke: :P

i sold an s2000 about 1 month ago privately for good money, had quite a lot of enquiries so I would give it a go - price it sensibly and don't discount it much, thats what i did. Mine was shipped out to Cyprus!

:worthless:

Seriously though, if you hold off selling for a bit I would be very interested  , only problem is, I wont be in a buying position for 2 maybe 3 months :(

suck it and see

personally if i was getting close to asking on trade in, i would bite the bullet and save myself the hassle for the sake of a couple of hundred quid

What about SureSell? Its a BCA company and it seems that if you call them they are prepared to suggest, based on previous experience, what your vehicle might fetch at one of their auctions. You get paid in 3-5 days and can stick a reserve on and while you may not get "good condition private", it avoids everything from dodgy viewings to bent bank drafts. They also charge a flat sales fee and can valet the car as well. I'm seriously considering using them and no, I have absolutely no connection :)

Honest John always recommends them in his Telegraph column, although I don't know if thats good or bad?! 8)
