If an early z4 has been pre wired for heated seats? It would be difficult to look under the seat?! But could you tell by lifting the switch plate? Or any other way?? I have someone asking about the seats I have for sale and would like to know if there is a sure fire way of telling?

I have an august registered 04 model, just a couple of months before the October cut off, when they stopped fitting the whole loom, I was able to switch from manual cloth seats to electrically adjusted and heated seats and it was all plug and play, all the wiring was there already
So if the car is built before October 04 it should be plug and play?
I think it is from what I understand BM used a standard full wiring loom. So I guess if we have cars from that time frame we can add what we like.

Actually I'm just jealous as there are a few bits I would have liked to add to my E86 which is only pre-wired for a CD changer as far as I can tell, and fitting that apparently involves major disassembly! Still the sound generator is a decent alternative!
